Johnson & Johnson hired me to create self-paced learning modules for a new facility being built in Kentucky. Their warehouses use a tracking application, MARC, to follow all product activity as it moves in and out of their locations. MARC was being updated, so current employees, as well as new ones, had to be trained.
There were nine separate process areas and most of these required two - some three - levels of instruction. Each module required an assessment, and I also created 'Tips & Tricks' cards listing common commands and shortcuts. These cards were punched and laminated, and could be carried on a belt loop for quick access.
Photoshop Work:
I created the template for these learning modules in Photoshop. Because there were multiple process areas and training levels, I customized the banner colors so that each process area was a specific color and the border color varied - green for beginner, yellow for intermediate, and red for advanced.
J&J's Customer Service department has centralized and remote workers. They use ValueTrak to make and track customer orders. I created two learning modules that included interactive testing. With a minimum score, the module generated an email that was sent to the IT department and the CS director to prompt certification and application access.
